| STOP PURCHASING ALL DOG TREATS! Now that China is involved in the manufacturing, and packaging, of ingredients and products for dogs we recommend that all consumers stop purchasing ALL DOG TREATS! China is well known to produce products that have melamine in them. As you may know, many such products have harmed and killed humans and animals alike. Please give only the treats listed below to your toy dog. Many contain bacteria. They are not inspected. |

Only One Treat Should Be Given Per Day
One SMALL Tablespoon of One Treat Food Per Day: 1. Cooked sweet potato, no sugar, no spice. Bake and slice and freeze in baggies for later use. 2. Low Fat or Farmer's Cottage Cheese. Remember, only one tablespoon. 3. Boiled or broiled skinless, boneless chicken. No Skin, no fat. Remember, only one tablespoon. 4. Scrambled or boiled egg, (#1 allergy-if scratching skin-omit) 5. Rice, white or brown, without fat, little to no salt, no spices, no onion, no garlic. 6. Low fat, low salt, chicken noodle soup, (without onions), Campbell's. Only 1 tablespoon. 7. Fat free chicken broth without MSG, (not from boullion cube). 1/4 cup. 8. Cooked/steamed frozen, or raw baby carrots. Try raw carrots on the patio as they tend to make a mess. 9. Cooked green beans, total of 5 cooked green bean pieces. Most love these. Canned, no salt, crisp. 10. Plain yogurt, no sugar, flavoring, artificial sweeteners, fruit, berries, many do not like this. 11. Chopped apple, some like it, but many do not like it.
Some of the following: 1. 4-5 Animal Crackers (try cheap ones from Sam's, or Publix are not as rich-fatty, they love them) 2. 2 Ritz crackers 3. 5-8 Cheez-its, (they all love these)
Remember no treats until after 4 months of age.
Give a different treat each day.

Artificial Sweeteners Cat Food Baby Food, contains spices, onion, garlic Spices, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Onion, Garlic all forms should be avoided Sugar & Sugary Foods (causes diabetes and digestive problems) Raw Eggs (causes skin and coat problems) Raw Meats, Poultry & Fish (domesticated animals are subject to salmonella, e-coli, etc.) Rawhide (can puncture intestines) Pig Ears, hooves, etc (can contain dangerous bacteria and disease) Dairy Products (usually not absorbed, can cause diarrhea in large amounts) Large Real Bones (causes salmonella and other problems) Fish Bones and Other Small Bones (get caught in swallowing & intestines) Onions (may cause hemolytic anemia months later) Garlic (similar to onions cause anemia- but to lesser extent than onions) Raisins Grapes/Muscadines Tomatoes, leaves are particularly toxic Chocolate Caffeine Potato, Tomato and Rhubarb Leaves Yeast Dough (expansion can cause intestinal damage) Hops (causes breathing problems and death) Spinach (causes bleeding) Broccoli Mushrooms Macadamia Nuts Hamburgers, particularly from fast food, (they have onions) Meat, Fat, Skin, Fatty Foods, Salty Foods Baby Food (has many toxins to dogs in it) Fat (can cause pancreatitis) Colas, Gator Aid- Kool-Aid Human Vitamins (iron can destroy kidneys & liver) Citrus and Citrus Oils (can cause Gastric distress) Liver ( very much of it can cause Vitamin A overdose and harm muscles and bones) Human Tooth Paste, sweetener can caue liver failure Xylitol Sweetener can cause liver failure in dogs, is often in candies and Tooth Paste
